Fitting the AL-KO iQ7 system allows the legal use of hydraulic disc brakes for towed vehicles and trailers over 2 tonne in Australia and 2.5 tonne in New Zealand, and also provides superior stopping performance. When an emergency braking situation occurs, the common downfall of some earlier electro-hydraulic brake actuators was time-lag or delayed response time. This is due to the delay in receiving a signal from the controller and the time taken for the electric drive motor to pump enough fluid to activate the master cylinder. AL-KO has addressed this, not only through its advanced XTREME electronic controller but, by utilising a compressed air reservoir to provide instant activation of the hydraulic master cylinder. This level of testing simulates the equivalent of setting off on an average of 42 trips per year over 10 years, without iQ7 experiencing any problems. Any products thought to be faulty can be returned to Trailer Spare Parts Australia for investigation at the customer’s expense. We reserve the right to determine whether the item/s are faulty or have been incorrectly used or mistreated. We are happy to accept any unwanted stock within 7 days of invoice. Returned items must be in “as new” condition for resale. Any specially ordered axles (IRS, Overlay and Drop Axles) are not returnable. Trailer Spare Parts Australia charges a re-stocking fee of 15% to any authorized returns, plus freight if the goods returned are not subject to warranty.
If the goods are subject to warranty, Trailer Spare Parts Australia will replace the goods and pay all freight inbound and outbound under our terms and conditions. All products sold by Trailer Spare Parts Australia carry a 12 months warranty under our terms and conditions.
